How does EFT work?
EFT is a tapping technique that works by combining cognitive and exposure therapy principles with acupressure. We start by identifying the issue, this can be emotional or physical. When we made the issue clear we start tapping on the issue and we will tune in on the frequency. Tuning in is crucial as it brings the emotional and physical distress into your awareness, allow the tapping to work.
Benefits of EFT
-
Tapping on acupressure points can help calm the nervous system, reducing levels of cortisol (stress hormone) and promoting relaxation.
-
It can help individuals process and release negative emotions such as fear, anger, sadness, or guilt, allowing them to experience greater emotional balance and resilience.
-
Challenge and reframe limiting beliefs or negative self-talk. By tapping on specific statements or affirmations, individuals can shift their mindset and cultivate more empowering beliefs.
-
Through the process and verbalizing thoughts and feelings, individuals can cultivate greater self-awareness, self-compassion and self-acceptance.
-
Some people use tapping to alleviate physical symptoms such as pain, tension, headaches, or digestive issues. By addressing underlying emotional stressors, it’s believed that physical symptoms may diminish.
-
Athletes, performers, and professionals often use EFT to manage performance anxiety, boost confidence, and enhance focus and concentration.
-
Can be used as part of trauma therapy to help process and release traumatic memories or emotional wounds in a gentle and non-invasive way.
